Vähisaba Salat / Crayfish Tail Salad
Seda maitsvat salatit on võimalik teha nii krabipulkadest ehk makrast, lumekrabist kui ka vähisabadest. Esimesel korral tegin seda viimastest, kuna need meenutasid mulle vähki rohkem kui krabipulgad krabi. Kuid kuna salat oli nii hea, siis olin sunnitud järgmise salati tegema külmkapis vedelevatest oranžidest pulgakestest, mis millegi pärast üldse krabi ei meenutanud. Kusjuures viimaste maitse ei olnud pooltki nii hull kui ma kartsin, väga maitsev sai ka teine salat. Mina määrisin seda kodusele sepikule.
This tasty salad can be made with both crayfish tail and crab sticks. The first time I decided to use crayfish tails as they actually reminded me of crayfish, not like the crab sticks that have never even seen a crab. However, the salad turned out so tasty that I decided to give it a try with the strange orange sticks that stood there laying about in the fridge. And the second salad turn out just as good. I spread it on some homemade bread.

Vaja läheb:
300 g krabiliha maitselist makrat või vähisabasid
2 peenelt varssellerit
2 kuni 3 talisibulat või sibulapealseid
1 küüs küüslauku, soovi korral
1-2 sl sidrunimahla
5 sl majoneesi
5 sl hapukoort või maitsestamata jogurtit
1 tl sinepit
soola
musta pipart
Haki krabipulgad, varsseller ja sibul väikesteks tükkideks, pressi küüslauk läbi küüslaugupressi. Kui kasutad vähisabasid ja need on väga suured, siis tasub needki pooleks lõigata. Sega kõik ained omavahel. Mina serveerisin salatit sepikul, kurgiviilu või salatilehega.

You’ll need:
300 g crayfish tails or crab sticks
2 thinner celery stalks
2-3 chives
1 glove of garlic, if you wish
1-2 tbsp lemon juice
5 tbsp mayonnaise
5 tbsp sour cream or plain yoghurt
1 tsp mustard
salt
pepper
Cut the crab sticks into smaller pieces, if using crayfish then cut that smaller if needed. Chop the chives (you may use just the green parts or the whole thing, as you wish) and celery. Press the garlic through a garlic press and mix all the ingredients together. I served the salad on bread with a few slices of cucumber and lettuce.
